IN THE PIPE (2016)

This is a list of planned work until the next phase begins in 2024. I make no promises that anything on this list will be achieved within this period, it is more a statement of intent.

Casualty 14-18 – The online version of this ongoing work will continue until 11th November 2018 and I intend to make a physical installation to complement it in commemorating the 100-year anniversary of World War 1.

Principia Bolamatica – This is a work that I started in 2016 but suspended it soon after. I intend to continue it as a 365 project at the beginning of the forthcoming BOLAM Year starting on April 24th 2018.

No Glove Lost – An ongoing documentary / sculptural project that I suspended because of it being so time-consuming but unfunded.

Catalogue – An unfinished part-work publication that is the catalogue for my Retrospective in 2014/2015.

Playbolam™ – An ongoing satire on political, cultural and environmental issues, made with Playmobil.

IN THE PIPE – A sprawling timelapse video project of car traffic movement. There is also a lot of timelapse video that I shot from my car making journeys around the midlands and north of England during a freelance job I did for several years.

#NUNK – A found-art documentary project of accidental artworks that may or may not be intentional.

Abstractagraph – A generative, screen-based work, creating graphic images based upon rules of classical composition and my own motifs. It’s an idea I had in the 1980s when I was first programming on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, but it never got past the drawing board stage. These days, I would use Linux-based programming tools and publish the code as open-source. I have made other generative works, but the original idea was to make a sprawling, encyclopeadic work that would save its images and rework them into knew ones. It’s an idea that has been done many times before, but not by me.
